Youtube marketing - an opportunity for every company!

  • 3 years   ago

Many actually only know YouTube from the funny little films that are shared on other social networks and sometimes become real hits. Stumbling children, crazy animal videos or enormously sporty types are particularly well known here. But that actually only refers to the private sector or entertainment. But also large corporations like Coca Cola, Nivea or Edeka have been using Youtube marketing for a long time and very successfully.

But can you be successful with YouTube marketing as a company with a low budget?

I say clearly: Yes - producing videos successfully and using them for marketing is quite possible!

What are the advantages of videos?

A photo arouses a lot of emotions, but a video can convey even more emotions. Products in need of explanation can be shown and demonstrated to the customer, services can be explained in detail and an attitude towards life can be conveyed.

Video production doesn't always have to be expensive. Depending on the topic and image of the company, videos can be created with minimal resources: a modern smartphone and a tripod are often sufficient to record a video in a quality that is good to very good for the Internet. Videos that aren't overly perfect are often very popular with audiences if they're authentic. Because this is how the audience sees that the person in front of the camera is not only a representative of a company, but also a person. This strengthens the audience's trust in the company and makes it easier to build relationships.

What are the advantages of video platforms?

Once you have decided to produce videos, it is also important to think about distribution. To be honest, you can't actually ignore the video platforms. Because they are not only the platform on which you can upload videos, they also fulfill many other important functions.

Video platforms as a search engine

Have you ever looked for instructions on the Internet? You will also get videos in the search results of your search engine. Why read through pages of text when a video explains how to do it in minutes?

In my example you can see very well that both manufacturing companies and craftsmen are already presenting themselves very well with video instructions.

Video platforms as social networks

Have you ever looked at how many comments there are under videos? Anyone who has a Gmail address (and every Android user has one, for example) can log in to Youtube and comment or rate. And these functions can be reached quickly and are used by the fan base. Fans can also subscribe to the YouTube channels and will then be informed about every new upload by a company. Take a look around on Youtube or Vimeo and explore the comments and ratings!

Video platforms as a distribution platform

The video platforms have another big advantage: They offer users the simple option of sharing the videos in all other directions (Facebook and Twitter play a major role here), but above all there is the option of sharing the videos in forums and websites and embed blogs and thus achieve further dissemination. Ultimately, the user should be able to forward the video quickly and easily, regardless of the channels. And the video platforms specialize in precisely these functions.
