Movie buffs in Qatar adjust to the ‘new normal’ as cinemas reopen after being closed due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. 

For the first time in more than 6 months today, moviegoers enjoyed trips to the cinema as Covid-19 restrictions eased in the country.

Is it safe to return to the cinemas? 

In compliance with the Ministry of Public Health guidelines, cinemas are required to adhere to all necessary precautions.

Cinemas reopened to the public with extra safety measures in place, including hand-sanitising areas on entrance and exit.

Safe and sufficient physical distance is to be maintained in the queue, ticket booth, kiosk, food and beverage counters, — most importantly inside the cinema when you take most of the time to enjoy the movie.

Anyone not complying with the safety measures would not be allowed to enter.
