Honda CR-V and Their Hybrid Models to Go On Sale Early Next Year

  • 4 years   ago

Finally, a Hybrid Model of Honda CR-V! Yes, you read it right. Honda is now giving us a new standard CR-V powertrain for 2020. The brand new hybrid drivetrain uses two electric motors and a natural aspirated Atkinson-cycle 2.0-liter, which has an inline-four gas engine. This drivetrain in Honda CR-V is similar to the one that was found in the Accord hybrid. While the EPA fuel-economy estimates are not available yet, it gives a combined power output of 212 horsepower.

As you know that EPA fuel-economy estimates can't be predicted, but it does have the ability to get close to the Accord hybrid's 48-mpg combined rating. The Toyota RAV4 hybrid is its most natural rival, which has a combined rating of 40 mpg. Honda, over the non-hybrids, has also claimed the 50 percent increase in EPA city fuel economy. This would surely put the CR-V hybrid somewhere around 44 mpg city. Thanks to a clutch of all-wheel-drive capability, it engages in sending the electric motor's torque to the rear wheels when slip is detected. Find the best and latest reviews at WapCar.my

Honda CR-V – Automakers Model

Honda CR-V is considered as one of the most important automaker models. Honda will surely is not be going to rest the whole 2020. They are expected to give some compact crossover while freshening up all its customers. Not everyone notices the small changes of interior and exterior, but people who take an interest in the cars know every little too little detail of each model. As the crossover sports a new engine, now CR-V is also coming in hybrid flavor for the people who seek some extra efficiency. These added updates, of course, will not add much to the bottom line.

Technology of Honda CR-V

Do you know the biggest news of 2020? No? Let me tell you. Now every single CR-V features an amazing Honda Sensing. This will also increase the automatic emergency braking of the CR-V with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and lane-departure warning. This new Honda CR-V is the automaker's bundle of active safety equipment. On the base LX model, the infotainment tech is light, and EX trim is present on a 7-inch touchscreen. This comes with the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In this CR-V, you will also find the smart keyless entry system, HD Radio, and a rear-cross traffic monitoring device. For the convenience of its users, it also provides the goods for touring like a factory navigation system and a wireless phone charger.

Interior of Honda CR-V

The interior of the CR-V gives a royal vibe with room for five passengers. It has two seats up front and three at the back. The cloth quality used in the CR-V is also exceptional as they mostly use leather, and for more expensive CR-V trims, even more, the standard cloth is used. It almost contains the 40 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear passengers, but if you fold the seats down, then you will get the 75.8 cubic feet space instead. If we talk about CR-V Hybrid, it will still hold the flat-load floor. The cargo area will also be the same in the hybrid system. You must know that every Honda CR-V comes with automatic climate control and a USB port, which is a big yes for many people.

Pricing of Honda CR-V

If we check the prices for Honda CR-V 2020, it starts somewhere at $26,145 after a $1,095 destination charge. The volume seller, which is the EX trim, starts from $28,655. For Hybrid CR-V, prices will be released before it goes on sale. It is expected that prices will increase in 2020. The 2020 CR-V will come to the dealer in the fall of this year, and then Hybrid CR-V will follow them at early next year.
