Pancake slip ring has a conductor that arranged flat ring concentric rings centered in the rotating shaft. It improved mechanical performance. Basically, these are used in alternators, slip ring motors, electrical generators, AC (alternating current), and wind turbines.

A pancake slip ring is produced for space critical application for height dimension. Basically, they are designed for rotation system. They are designed for vertical space that is limited other than horizontal space as much restrictive. They are designed for limited height that doesn’t have any limitation in OD. This slip ring has many features in heaviness and height. It just looked like a CD or like a plate that is why also called a plate slip ring or flat slip ring. It has a precious metal brush with high transmitting and rotating. It also has a special vacuum volume. The client always chooses radial cable output with normal height and axial cable output. It has low maintenance, table, low noise, torque, and long life. They use metal contacts that are stable low resistance and performance. It depends on customer’s requirement we offered two different pancake slip ring one is industrial and the second one is common quality. 

Pancake slip ring for housing

Make sure about the equipment of room installation when you select the model.  Your room rotating part is limited when you start using a series of the pancake slip ring. There are different colors in a ring. You got in red, brown, black, yellow, green, orange, purple, grey, blue, white, and so on. If you use pancake slip ring for housing so, use the best one fiber brush and metal to gold – gold multi contacting material. It has a long lifetime low contact pressure. They provide low electrical noise for high data rate transmission. 

It saves a lot of space with the copper ring and brushes contact which is in the central hole. There are many features in them like high rotating speed, transmitting power and signal, extreme low physical noise, light figure, drop the connection, and unfailing contact. Mechanically it has operating speed is about 0-300rpm, the thickness is about 6mm to 63mm, shock resistance is 30g, inner diameter is about 4mm to 820mm, outer diameter is about 21mm to 220mm, and torque 0.05N.m. The slip ring current rating is 30A per circuit and voltage rating is 380 VAC. The slip ring is used to conduct electricity through vacuum and hydraulic. They are transmitted various signals to the device where 360 rotating. The pancake slip ring transmits current and signals channel by infinite transverse on ring number diameter. They are usually used to transmit signals together with power. They are also used to combine fluid media like hydraulic and pneumatic. After searching and get experience this thing is proving that pancake slip ring has a mature technology.

The MP210 series pancake slip ring is used metal contact and gold processing plate that can transfer stable signals and power with little resistance fluctuations. The Mp210 slip ring has a 20mm thickness with an aluminum structure. And it is designed for the thicker requirement which thickness is restrictive except diameter has less. The VC product max speed is 60rpm and VD product speed is about 200rpm. It is worked mechanically and electrically. They have a different specification for both.
