GCA celebrates International Customs Day today

The aim of events is to strengthen the participation on this day with other international custom bodies under the slogan, “Customs promotes recovery Innovation and Flexibility for a Sustainable Supply Chain.”
 
The International Customs Day falls on 26th of January every year and the General Customs Authority (GCA) annually organizes a number of various events in a ceremony held in the Customs Training Center at Hamad Port.
 
The aim of events is to strengthen the participation on this day with other international custom bodies under the slogan, “Customs promotes recovery Innovation and Flexibility for a Sustainable Supply Chain.”
 
 

On its global day, GCA honors its distinguished employees, including customs inspectors who have played an important role in huge seizures, graduates of customs employees with a bachelor's degree in border management, and graduates with a diploma in customs sciences at the Community College, in addition to government and private partner and cooperating agencies.


Today’s celebration of the International Customs Day will include several activities, including a visual presentation that addresses the most prominent achievements carried out by the authority during the past year, the most important development projects that have been implemented within its role in facilitating customs clearance procedures, and the presentation of the latest customs data statistics that have been cleared at all ports.
