Qatar Labor Ministry Regards EHTERAZ Mobile App as a Condition for Laborers Exiting Industrial Area

The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs (MADLSA) has emphasized the need for companies to continue educating laborers and keep safe distance (2 meters), as well as the need to take other preventive measures in accommodations and workplaces.

MADLSA calls upon companies' owners and laborers to download EHTERAZ mobile application. Moreover, companies wishing to take laborers outside the Industrial Area should ensure downloading the application on the mobile phones of laborers included in the lists of names.

If the feature of downloading this program is not available on a laborer’s mobile phone or if a mobile phone is not available, a laborer will not be allowed to exit the Industrial Area. The Ministry pointed out that in line with the preventive and precautionary measures and to keep the safety of everyone, it has become necessary to display EHTERAZ mob app to security personnel when visiting any branch of MADLSA and service offices.

The Ministry also noted the importance of using digital platforms to benefit from MADLSA services via hotline 16008.

Within the framework of its keenness to enhance the efforts of the State of Qatar in eliminating the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Ministry also stressed the need to ban all unnecessary personal gatherings of laborers, curb internal movement as much as possible, and suspend all training programs.

This also includes reducing the population density in the laborer accommodations and designating 6-meter space for each laborer in a room.
