Tunisia thanks Qatar Amir for COVID-19 medical aid

Qatari plane carrying aid arrives in Tunisia

In implementation of the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to send urgent medical aid in support to the efforts made by the sisterly Republic of Tunisia in combating the coronavirus (Covid-19), a Qatari plane carrying aid to combat the pandemic arrived yesterday in Tozeur International Airport. The aid includes a field hospital provided by the Qatari Ministry of Defence to the Tunisian Ministry of National Defence that has a 100- bed capacity and 20 ventilators.

 

Tunisian president thanks Amir for sending medical aid

The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani on Saturday held a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Tunisia Kais Saied. During the phone call, the Tunisian president expressed his thanks and appreciation for the urgent medical aid, particularly the field hospital, provided by Qatar to help the Tunisian government contain the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic. They also discussed bilateral relations and the means of enhancing them further. Meanwhile, in implementation of the directives of the Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani, a Qatari plane carrying urgent medical aid arrived in Tozeur International Airport on Saturday. The aid includes a field hospital provided by the Qatari Ministry of Defense to the Tunisian Ministry of National Defense with an area of 10/80 metres that has a 100 beds and 20 ventilators. (QNA)
