Part of the first phase of the gradual lifting of COVID-19 restrictions in Qatar is the partial opening of shops in malls. Shops with a minimum area of 300 square meters will open, with the malls not exceeding 30% capacity.

As the first phase begins on June 15, stores, commercial complexes, and shoppers will all be required to abide by certain measures to safeguard the health of the community.

According to a senior official at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI), children aged below 12 years and individuals above 60 will not be permitted to enter malls and commercial complexes during the initial stages of the plan.

With this, malls across Qatar have already posted on their social media which shops and stores will be reopened starting June 15. Scroll down below to see the list!

Mall of Qatar

Mall of Qatar is all set to welcome everyone back! Starting June 15, several retail stores will reopen from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm with safety measures in place. The retail stores remain open throughout the week (Sunday-Thursday). However, hypermarkets, pharmacies, telecommunications, and financial services will remain open during the weekends.

Few restaurants, cafes, and F&B outlets will be open for takeaway and delivery services.

Doha Festival City

Doha Festival City gears up to open more than 76 stores! From fashion and beauty to home décor and essential supplies, you will find it all under one roof. Ehteraz Green Tag must be presented upon entry.

Opening hours:

Sunday to Thursday from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm

Friday and Saturday only essential stores, hypermarkets, and pharmacies will remain open.
