It affects how your body uses blood sugar also known as glucose. Your body needs a lot of strength to fight against this disease. Diabetes can be a lifelong condition but it is curable if proper treatment and medication are followed. One must abstain from activities like alcohol consumption, smoking, or consuming foods that have high sugar. The early signs of diabetes include hunger and fatigue, dry mouth, blurred vision, itchy skin and peeing more often. In serious cases of diabetes one may also feel pain or numbness in feet. Sudden loss of weight and slow-healing injuries are also a sign that you may have diabetes.

  1. Exercise daily – regular exercise helps you control your blood sugar levels. It maintains a healthy weight and increases your insulin sensitivity. when you exercise your muscle use the glucose in your body to produce energy .you can practice running, jogging, swimming, cycling or dancing.
  2. Stay hydrated -drink enough water so that your blood sugar level is within limits. It also eases dehydration and flushes out the extra toxins from your body. It rehydrates your body and reduces the risk of any serious damage to your blood cells. You can always consume fresh fruit juices or any healthy liquids that suits your preference.
  3. Stay stress-free -Stress is directly proportional to your blood sugar levels. There are certain hormones that are released when you are stressed out. These hormones increase the sugar levels in your body. You should practice yoga and meditation to keep your stress and in turn your diabetes under control.
  4. Maintain a healthy weight – A healthy weight is very important to lead a healthy life. Manage your weight by following a diet plan and staying active. A healthy weight means healthy blood sugar levels. A person who is not obese has a lower risk of acquiring serious conditions like diabetes.
  5.  Get quality sleep – Adequate amount of sleep is very important for a healthy mind and a healthy body. Lack of sleep or insomnia can directly affect your blood sugar levels and also increase weight. To manage your blood sugar levels you must get sleep which is high in quantity as well as quality.
