Deepika Padukone joins Kareena Kapoor Khan in lauding Nari Shakti after PM Modis message in Mann Ki Baat

On the weekend, PM Narendra Modi sent out a message of women empowerment in his first 'Mann Ki Baat' address of 2021. The Prime Minister lauded the women achievers of the nation and mentioned them in his address to the nation. Supporting the message of women empowerment in nation-building, actors Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor Khan also shared their stance on the same. The two leading stars of Bollywood expressed pride in 'Nari Shakti' after PM's address to the nation. 

Deepika took to her Twitter handle and retweeted PMO's tweet on women empowerment. She quoted Mahatma Gandhi and lauded every woman across the world. Further, Kareena also expressed in a post how women have contributed to nation-building. In PMO's tweet, the women crew that flew non-stop from San Francisco for the first time was lauded. Not just this, the tweet also mentioned the women Air Force officers who were a part of the parade on January 26. Further, the message also praised women from Jabalpur who started their own rice mill amid COVID 19 pandemic as the rice mill where they worked was shut down. 

 

Sharing her stance on women empowerment, Deepika quoted Mahatma Gandhi. She shared PMO's message on women empowerment and wrote, "“Be the change you wish to see in the world.”-Mahatma GandhiThese words couldn’t be truer for these incredible women and for every single woman around the world!#NariShakti #MannKiBaat @PMOIndia." On the other hand, Kareena also shared a special note on women's empowerment. She lauded the women achievers of the nation and wrote, "From flying non-stop commercial flights to taking part in Republic Day parades, women's participation is increasing manifold. Desh ki Beti today is fearless, courageous and an equal participant in nation-building activities." 

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister praised the historic move by Air India of starting a direct flight between Bangalore & San Francisco that was flown by an all-women pilot team. They covered a distance of over 16000 kms and flew over the North Pole. Many other women achievers from several spheres of life were lauded by the PM in his address.
