'Zack Snyder's Justice League' Trailer Is Out, Fans Are Losing It Over First Look At Batman vs Joker Clash

  • 3 years   ago
Fans have been treated to multiple teasers leading up to the release of Zack Snyder's Justice League by now. And with every glimpse, the director's vision seems grander than ever. The newest trailer fleshes out the sheer scale of DCEU's superhero team-up featuring Ben Affleck's Batman, Henry Cavill's Superman, Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa's Aquaman, Ray Fisher's Cyborg, Ezra Miller's Flash and more. It includes an ominous look at Superman’s death, visuals of Darkseid with some backstory and a never-seen-before teaser clip of Affleck and Leto's Batman vs Joker clash. It's wild!

Three year's after the film's original release, Snyder's cut of Justice League arrives this March on HBO Max. The film that will have a run-time of four hours, contains additional footage and a brand new version of Jared Leto's Joker. The trailer begins with a reminder of Superman's death with Lex Luthor's voiceover saying, "The God is dead". We then see Bruce Wayne in a trench coat talking about a "dream...almost like a premonition," alluding to the Knightmare. The trailer also offers a more detailed glimpse at Darkseid and the Gods of Apokolips.

By the end of the trailer, we get our first official look at the Batman vs Joker confrontation we've been waiting for. Moreover, Joker saying "we live in a society" has instant recall to a fan-favourite meme. Some sections of the DC fandom have been vying to hear Joker (any joker) say the line although others think it’s slightly cringey. Jared Leto offered confirmation just in case you missed it.

Jared Leto's Joker is perhaps the most notable addition to the upcoming film. The character has been updated since Suicide Squad and so far we know that he will appear sans "Damaged" tattoo in a dream sequence experienced by Ben Affleck's Batman.
