Copa America 2019: Brazil captain Dani Alves backs Lionel Messi's criticism of referees after semi-final

What's the story?

Brazil commander Dani Alves has sponsored previous colleague Lionel Messi's analysis of the refereeing choices taken during the Copa America semi-last conflict among Argentina and the Selecao on Tuesday.

On the off chance that you didn't have a clue...

Brazil advanced to the finals of the Copa America after a 2-0 triumph over adversaries Argentina, politeness of objectives from Gabriel Jesus and Roberto Firmino.

The game caused discussion after Argentine players blamed the match authorities for settling on one-sided choices, with Messi gruffly calling the refereeing "bull****".

The Argentine skipper stated, "They were worse than us. They found the net early and the subsequent objective originated from a punishment [to Aguero] they didn't grant."

"They [the officials] had booked a great deal of bulls***, yet they didn't check the VAR, that is mind boggling. That happened everywhere throughout the game. At the main look of contact, they controlled in their [Brazil's] support and this sort of bulls*** diverted us from the game."

The supposed misjudgement heightened when Alves seemed to foul Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero in the punishment territory a couple of minutes before Brazil's subsequent objective. Ecuadorian authority Roddy Zambrano confronted the rage of the Albiceleste when he would not counsel VAR and continued to disregard the test.

The core of the issue

Alves, who was on the opposite end of the test on Aguero, has now shared his musings on the charges propelled by his previous Barcelona colleague, Messi. As per Marca, the 36-year-old stated, "The official was more anxious than us, I get Leo."

He included, "Argentina has numerous troublesome players, we needed to endeavor with the goal that our lines were in every case together. This rewards the person who was progressively effective today."

What's straightaway?

Brazil will clash against Peru in the Copa America last on Sunday. Messi's hang tight for a global trophy proceeds, this time under disputable conditions.
