30 killed, dozens injured as lightning strikes in India

More than thirty people were died and over a dozen others injured in incidents of lightning strikes across state within the last twenty four hours,an official said on Thursday.
The deaths occurred in Bhagalpur, Begusarai, Saharsa, Purnea, Araria, Katihar, Jamui, Khagaria, Madyepura, Madhubani, Darbhanga, Sitamarhi, Mitigari and Gaya districts, the state disaster management department official same.
"The state government has ordered associate degree ex-gratia payment of Rs four lakh to the every to the victims' kin," the official included.
According to the weather workplace, lightning strikes occur within the state throughout the June-September monsoon season.
