Driver crashes brand new Lamborghini just 20 minutes after leaving dealership

The Lamborghini Huracan suffered a mechanical failure due to which it suddenly came to a crashing halt on the motorway fast lane and was rammed into by a speeding van.

A motorist had just picked up his brand new £200,000 Lamborghini from the dealership when it was wrecked after being hit by a van on a motorway in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

The Lamborghini Huracan suffered a mechanical failure due to which it suddenly came to a crashing halt on the motorway fast lane and was rammed into by a speeding van.

Photos and video of the aftermath, show the luxury sports car extensively damaged with its back crunched up from the impact. While the driver of the van suffered head injuries, not believed to be serious, in the collision.

PC Richard Whiteley, of West Yorkshire Police, said the Lamborghini stopped in lane three due to a mechanical failure. "It's only a car. But on this occasion, a 20-minute-old, brand-new Lamborghini that stopped due to mechanical failure in lane three then was hit from behind by an innocent motorist," PC Whiteley was quoted as saying in Daily Mail.
