Jessielyn Española,  Filipina housemaid worker was beaten by Kuwaiti employers son,whose case went viral on social media site and Facebook is seeking justice for the severe beating.

Jessielyn Española, 49, a native of M’lang, Cotabato in Southern Philippines married with three kids, has been working for for 11 years in Kuwait and didn't expect that she will suffer severe beating after she was accused by her employer’s son of stealing the necklace of her employer’s daughter on June 14. “she told him, she didn't steal necklace. Why would I do that? I have been working with you for 11 years and I never took anything from you.

Even if I see files on the floor, I returned them to you but he won’t listen to me. He boxed her eyes. He kicked her and pulled her hair. He got the shisha of baba and hit her with the steel. she was crying due to excruciating pain,” recounted Española to the Arab Times. I begged the employer’s son to stop but everything fell on deaf ears.

"I was crying in pain and requesting him to stop, I didn't take your sister's necklace. He will have a hard time believing me and kept hitting me. He stated, after I completed my cigarette, I will kill you if you dont tell the truth and send you back to the Philippines. 

So I rushed to the washroom and hid there," cried Española as it was difficult for her to acknowledge that the kid that she took care of for 11 years beat her up. Española's sponsors were not in the nation at when the incident occurred. With bruised eyes, wounds and hematoma on her arms and legs, she requested that her employer’s daughter take her to the emergency clinic yet she didn't and got her some medicine. 

"They got me some cream to apply on my wounds. On that night, I jotted a note on the paper requesting help and passed it on to one of my companions who posted it on Facebook and said thanks to God, individuals shared it till it reached the Philippine Embassy. Much thanks to you to the Kuwait police and the embassy office," she  recounted.

With the assistance of Kuwaiti authorities and the Philippine Embassy with Assistance to Nationals Unit Officer Jo Sto Domingo in charge, Española was separated from her employer’s home and taken to the Saad Abdallah police station on June 17. 

A case was filed against her boss' son. The Philippine Embassy has assigned a Kuwaiti legal counselor to deal with Española's case. In spite of the fact that Española is protected now at the POLO-OWWA cover, what stresses her is the tutoring of her two kids as she anticipates the goals of her case. "To President Duterte, if you don't mind help me. So my two children will complete school, one in school and one in secondary school. I am jobless at this point. If it's not too much trouble help me," she claimed. In spite of the marking of the Memorandum of Agreement on the Deployment and Protection of Domestic Workers among Kuwait and the Philippines in May 2018, instances of abuse of Filipino domestic workers keep on being accounted for.
