MPW halts pay of 2,000 employees for not adhering to new fingerprint system

The Ministry of public works (MPW) has suspended the salaries of 2,000 workers due to their lack of commitment to stick to the new fingerprint attendance system that has the approval of the civil service Commission (CSC), reports Al-Anba daily quoting ministry sources. The sources further, the ministry had warned all workers who don't use the fingerprint system to mark their group action.

The sources aforesaid that the method of stopping the salaries of those workers was wiped out coordination with the ministry’s workers Affairs Committe and also the CSC, mentioning that the ministry can apply all legal procedures against these workers as a result of the new fingerprint attendance is necessary.

 

He aforesaid that the ministry had earlier informed the workers (13,000) to update their fingerprints 3 months past, however there are 2,000 workers who have didn't do thus, that led the ministry to prevent their salaries till the update of information of their fingerprints. The sources added the ministry are going to be connected to the CSC next Apr so everybody complies with the foundations and laws of the CSC.
