Pakistani army officer given life sentence on spying charges

Pakistan's army has condemned a general to life detainment for spying and requested capital punishment for a brigadier and a regular citizen officer sentenced in a similar case, a military explanation said on Thursday.
Following a shut entryway military preliminary, armed force boss Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa supported the sentences on the three for reconnaissance (and) releasing delicate data to outside organizations in impediment to national security," the announcement said.
Resigned Lieutenant General Javed Iqbal was imprisoned for an actual existence term, which means he will serve 14 years in jail under Pakistani law. Resigned Brigadier Raja Rizwan was condemned to death close by Wasim Akram, a regular citizen specialist utilized by a military association.
The military did not give further insights regarding the data that was supposedly spilled by the three men or state to whom it was uncovered.
