Qatar records 184 new COVID-19 cases, one death

Qatar on Friday recorded 184 new COVID-19 cases — 105 from within the community and 79 among travellers returning from abroad.

Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today reported 184 new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) and 143 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 217,901.

Out of 184 new cases, 105 are community cases and 79 from travellers returning from abroad.

The ministry reported the death of a 71-year-old in the last 24 hours taking the total death toll from Covid-19 to 582.

The total number of positive Covid-19 cases recorded in Qatar till now is 220,509 and there are 2,026 active cases under treatment.

 

5,380 people were tested for the first time in the last 24 hours (20,901 tests in total) taking the total tests done so far to 2,105,547 tests.

Two were admitted in intensive care in the last 24 hours and 76 people continue to receive medical attention in ICU.

There were 14 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours taking the total number of patients in the hospital to 130.

12,013 doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been administered during the past 24 hours.

The total number of vaccine doses administered since the start of the vaccination campaign is 2,868,162.
