With the rapid increase in the positive cases of the novel coronavirus, health officials and governments around the world are urging people to practice social distancing. However, there still have been many instances where people are defying the orders. One such bizarre incident took place in Kentucky, a state in the Unites States of America recently.

According to CNN, a group of young adults got together to take part in a 'coronavirus party'. However, after attending it, at least one person got infected with the novel virus, Governer Andy Beshear said on Tuesday.

The governor said that the partygoers got together intentionally because they thought, "they were invincible." According to him, they defied the guidance issued by the state to practice social distancing purposefully.

"This is one that makes me mad. We have to be much better than that," the governor said. Anyone who goes to something like this may think they’re indestructible, but it’s someone else’s loved one they’re going to hurt," he added.

In US, more than 52,000 positive novel coronavirus cases have been reported so far. According to the governor, there are at least 163 cases of Covid-19 in Kentucky.

Worldwide, the number of positive Covid-19 cases has reached the 4,22,652 mark, with a total of 18,915 deaths being reported.
