115,000 Baby Finned Back Seabraem Released in Qatari Waters

The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME), represented by the Environmental Protection, Reserves and Wildlife Department, has released 115,000 Baby Finned Back Seabraem at three batches into a number of various water areas in Qatar

These batches are the last of the fish broodstock for the current season. They have been produced at the Aquatic Research Center at Ras Matbakh to be released into a number of sea water locations distributed along various areas.

This is part of the Center's plan to breed fish and release it into Qatari waters in order to enrich fish stock in the State.

 

The landing locations are characterized for being a suitable environment where this type of fish can live, grow, breed, feed their babies and protect them from predators. Total number of released Baby Finned Back Seabraem so far is 351,000.
