Five planets - Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, Venus, and Mercury of our solar system will illuminate Qatar sky during May 2020. Moreover, Qatar resident can see three planets - Jupiter, Saturn, and Mars on the dawn sky, while they can see two planets - Venus and Mercury on the evening sky. Added, the five planets will be approaching Moon at different times during May. Qatar Calendar House (QCH) announced.

the giant planet "Jupiter" and the planet with beautiful rings "Saturn" will align with Moon on the dawn of Tuesday and Wednesday, May 12-13, 2020. Qatar residents will have a good chance to seeing and observing Jupiter, Saturn, and  the Moon with naked eyes or with astronomical telescopes over the eastern horizon of Qatar dawn sky from midnight Tuesday and Wednesday till the sunrise time. Astronomer expert at QCH Dr. Beshir Marzouk said.

On the dawn of Friday, May 15, 2020, the red planet "Mars" will be close to the Moon, where it will be at three degrees northern Moon's center. Qatar residents will have a good chance to seeing and observing Mars and Moon together with naked eyes or astronomical telescopes over the eastern horizon on Friday from the time rise of Moon at 12:41 Am Doha local time till the Sunrise time on Friday. 

Dr. Beshir Marzouk added, the smallest planet "Mercury" and brightest planet "Venus" will be approaching Moon on the evening of Sunday, May 24, 2020. Qatar residents can observe Venus, Mercury and Moon over the western horizon after sunset time till the time set of Venus at 7:31 Pm Doha local time, moreover, residents must be at places without light and environment pollutions to can see Mercury.  

These astronomical phenomena are very important because it is guiding for amateur astronomers to know the map of the sky during this month, moreover, validate the astronomical calculations.
