760 tonnes of local vegetables through ‘Distinguished Product’ and ‘Qatar Farms’ sold in June

The total sales of local vegetables through the "Distinguished Product" and "Qatar Farms" programmes, during the month of June, amounted to about 760 tonnes out of which 307 tonnes were marketed through the "Distinguished Product" programme and rest 453 tonnes through the "Qatar Farms" programme.
The Ministry of Municipality and Environment has approved the "Distinguished Product" and "Qatar Farms" programs to market Qatari vegetables in consumer complexes to provide an opportunity for Qatari farmers to display their local production of Qatari vegetables in consumer complexes at reasonable prices for the consumer without an intermediary and without the farmer paying any financial commissions for that.
