  • 3 years   ago
The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs, coordinating with Qatar Charity (QC) has launched the ‘Hadiya’ gift initiative, which aims in benefitting families from social security during the occasion of the Holy month of Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr. This implemented initiative comes under the framework of constant coordination between the Ministry and QC, which supports the initiative by funding QR10m to support families and supply them with their basic essentialities during Ramadan and Eid al Fitr.

As the preventive measures are imposed in the country to adhere to it all times in order to curb the rapid spread of COVID-19, the Ministry, represented by the Social Affairs Sector, is taking great efforts by enforcing numerous steps that would provide adequate relief to citizens benefiting from social security.

The validity of social security cards was renewed and extended automatically until further notice without the requirement to review the Ministry and its branches. The procedures for renewing the use of the rental allowance were also extended by the Citizens Housing Department without the need for review.

The Ministry also urged the citizens to use the online ‘Amerni’ application and services on the Ministry’s website to benefit them from the available services. The ministry has also welcomed necessary public inquiries and needs through the hotline number 16008 and on its social media accounts.
