After QND celebrations, general cleaning is completed at Doha Corniche

During the National Day celebrations, Ministry of Municipality and Environment, represented by General Cleanness Department of the Public Services Affairs Sector, has completed exceptional cleaning services at Doha Corniche area over 3 days.
The Department has prepared an exceptional pre- plan. As part of this plan, field teams are prepared and works are divided into 3 shifts 24 hours a day during the weekend to clean up sites and roads. Furthermore, specialized mechanisms have been provided and number of containers was increased in the area, as planned.
For his part, director of the GCD stressed that precautionary measures have been observed while cleaning and waste removal works, which have been accomplished with a high degree of efficiency. Cleaning efforts resulted in the removal of nearly (56.2) tons of waste from all the sites at the Corniche and returning it to its pervious state in terms of cleanliness and urban appearance.
