Airport authorities thwart attempt to smuggle Lyrica pills into Qatar

An attempt has been made to smuggle Lyrica pills into the country which was thwarted by the department of Air Cargo and Private Airports.

The department has confirmed that 6868 Lyrica pills were foiled, after one of the staffs suspected the contents of a cargo which is a pure attempt of smuggling.

 

The airport officials tweeted that the banned pills were found hidden inside a women’s clothing luggage and was securely wrapped to avoid detection by X-Ray scanners,

The officials had given many warnings in these matters and especially to those who attempts to carry illegal material into the country.

Customs officials in Qatar have been given the provision to all means of support including developed means of systems and continuous training.
