HE Ambassador of Jamaica to the Republic of Cuba Kathryn Phipps has received the credentials of HE Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Derbasti as non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to Jamaica.

HE Ambassador Kathryn Phipps wished HE the Qatari Ambassador success in his assignments, and for the bilateral relations between the two countries further development and growth.

• He worked with the Department of Information and Investigation from 01/08/1993 to 18/08/1997.

• He worked in the General Council of the State of Qatar in Houston, from 20/8/1997 to 01/08/2003.

• He worked in the office of the Assistant of the Minister from 12/08/2003 to 24/08/2005.

• He worked in the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Berlin from 25/08/2005 to 08/11/2005.

• He worked in the Department of Arab Countries Affairs from 09/11/2005 to 23/08/2007.

• He worked in the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Moscow from 24/08/2007 to 07/08/2012.

• He worked in the Department of European Countries Affairs from 28/08/2012 to 16/09/2013.

• He was appointed ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Paraguay from 17/09/2013 to 10/11/2016.

• He worked as the assistant of the Director of the Information Office from 17/11/2016 to 2019.

• Currently he is the ambassador of the State of Qatar in the Republic of Cuba.
