The Armed Forces concluded Tuesday the tactical exercise "Miqdam 4", carried out by cadets of the National Service Academy, under the patronage of HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, in the presence of HE Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem.

The exercise concluded by the implementation of its second phase which aimed at training on defending islands, including the transfer of forces via helicopters and sailing boats, the implementation of defense works, the establishment of fortifications and the creation of engineering obstacles.

The second phase also included landing operations on the coast of the islands and the implementation of counter-attack, as well as the implementation of the scenario of interruption of supplies to the forces defending the island, and training in joint coordination between the National Service and all branches of the Armed Forces and the bodies of the Ministry of Interior and Lekhwiya Force.

The Amiri Air Force, the Amiri Naval Forces, the Military Police Forces and the Medical Services Command took part in the exercise with the participation of the Ministry of the Interior, represented by the Lekhwiya Force and the General Directorate of Coasts and Borders Security.

The exercise was attended by a number of senior officers of the Armed Forces.
