ATMs have started issuing new banknotes

ATMs of banks in Qatar have started issuing the new series of Qatari Riyal bank notes today, on the occasion of the Qatar National Day.
New designs were announced last week for all denomination banknotes in the country along with the introduction of a new denomination QR 200. New notes have 64 state-of-the-art security specifications. The front designs of the new banknotes share a common theme based on traditional geometric patterns, the State of Qatar flag, Qatari flora (Dreama) and an orante gate representing the historical Qatari architecture.
The back designs comprise themes reflecting Qatari tradition, Islamic history, culture, flora and fauna and development of education, sport and the economy.
