Awqaf announces its financial support for QDA

The General Directorate of Endowments at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) has announced that it has given a helping hand by contributing QR954,000 to Qatar Diabetes Association (QDA). The announcement was made during a press conference attended by the General Directorate of Awqaf director-general Dr Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed al-Thani and QDA executive director Dr Abdullah al-Hamaq.
The Awqaf official stated there is a close bond between the Awqaf ministry and QDA and lauded the compatibility of the services of QDA. He also conveyed happiness in providing the endowments for the benefit of the patients who are vulnerable and are in different needs. 
QR514,000 has been offered for them to buy insulin pumps for 10 children while QR450,000 is given to purchase freestyle devices to check the level of blood glucose. This will be spent for 75 children. The Awqaf supports QDA annually by allocating endowment funds. The funds, according to an Awqaf statement, were allocated with the support of the Waqf Bank for Healthcare.
 
 
The Awqaf official cited several partnerships with numerous governmental and private agencies including QDA in support of the Waqf Bank for Health Care and in fulfilment of the conditions of the endowment. The official mentioned that the partnership with QDA, comes as under the framework of the constant fruitful co-operation between the two sides.
 
Dr al-Hamaq also expressed his gratitude on the endowment initiative highlighting that the relationship between the endowment ministry and QDA has grown extensively. He further added that the support for this year is distinguished by offering patients with better and improved treatments, outlining that this was done in response to the wishes of the General Administration of Endowments at Awqaf.
