Awqaf Ministry donates QR 465,000 to citizens scheduled to marry this year

The General Department of Endowments at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in joint coordination with Wifaq Family Consulting Center announced that they are going to donate QR465,000 for holding courses of 220 citizens who are scheduled to get married this year.

This decision was announced recently during a press conference which was taken part by Director General of General Department of Endowments Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Ghanem Al Thani, and CEO of Wifaq Family Consulting Center Rashid bin Ahmed Al Dossari.

Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Muhammad Al Thani applauded the close ties between the General Department of Endowments and the civil organisations in the state, which are committed to serve several groups of society and the family in particular.

He also stressed that the family is the building block of society, and its righteousness is the good of society, and from this perspective, General Department of Endowments had established the endowment fun for the family and childhood, which primarily handles the family and childhood projects and cooperates with numerous parties in this area.
