The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf), represented by the Department of Religious Call and Guidance, conducted a session on ‘The Jurisprudence of Zakat and Fasting’ for many imams and preachers.
According to a statement issued by Awqaf, nearly 150 imams participated in this virtual session that was organised as part of the events of the “Pathways and Minarets” programme that features training courses for imams, muezzins and preachers.

The course is hosted with an aim to ensure the progress and raise the scientific standards of imams and muezzins and supporting them in implementing their pivotal roles to the maximum. This training course includes sciences of jurisprudence, belief, hadith and biography.

The programme is managed by the Institute for Islamic Call and Sciences and was held virtually on the Ministry’s educational platform until April 11 with exams on April 12.
The course is presented by a group of specialised trainers in co-operation with the Mosques Administration Department that nominates imams and muezzins with the support and patronage of the General Administration of Endowments.
