British Embassy announces significant updates for travellers arriving from Qatar

This morning the British Embassy in Qatar has announced couple of important updates regarding the travellers’ visit from Qatar to UK.
1. Direct flights suspended
The British Embassy in Qatar has tweeted that direct flights starting from 4 am on 19 March 2021 are prohibited. The visitors who have transited via Qatar in the last 10 days will not be able to enter England.
2. Hotel quarantine for British and Irish nationals
The Embassy has also highlighted that all the British and Irish nationals with UK residence permit arriving from Doha, must undergo a mandatory hotel quarantine for 10 days in compliance to the UK government as Qatar is now in one of the red listed countries.
