As part of its ongoing social commitment towards the employees on campus, College of the North Atlantic – Qatar (CNA-Q) in joint partnership with Qatar Charity (QC) provided 350 Iftar meals. This initiative aims in reaching employees working in different campus divisions such as security, cleaning, technical, fire, and safety, civil and more.
In Accordance with the current COVID-19 restrictions imposed in the country, meal boxes were packed and loaded onto QC’s decontaminated delivery van. Employers also received their meals directly from the van while adhering to the mandatory physical distancing and prevention measures against Covid-19.
Dr. Salem Al-Naemi, CNA-Q’s President, said: “Ramadan is the time to be selfless and understand there is no way we can overcome difficulties without showing grace to others. While many of us gather at home to share Ramadan Iftars, for many shift workers, it is not that simple to break their fast.”
“We wanted to show CNA-Q’s workers appreciation for all the hard work and efforts they put into their jobs, even during fasting hours. We also extend our appreciation to Qatar Charity and the volunteers who made this event possible,” he added.
Yousuf bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, CEO of QC, lauded CNA-Q’s initiative guided by the core values of this educational institute that thrive on community service and solidarity.

Al Kuwari also conveyed his gratitude to CNA-Q for choosing QC as a partner in humanitarian actions and said, “Qatar Charity is keen on collaborating with all sectors, governmental or educational entities, to strengthen the values that we believe in and seek to spread in society. We strive to achieve human dignity and community development for the sake of our Nation and the society’s well-being.”
It is also worth mentioning that this event falls under the Ramadan initiatives organized by QC. The projects carried out by the organization in Qatar during Ramadan target 490,000 individuals.
These projects include the mobile Iftar, which includes Iftar meals and food baskets for employees and drivers, along with Ramadan supplies for families with low income, assistance, and food baskets for those affected by the deadly virus in Qatar.
