ConocoPhillips Qatar offers a new scholarship deal to Texas A&M Qatar

ConocoPhillips offers Texas A&M Qatar a financial gift to support students scholarships and experimental learning. This financial gift in addition to Al Shaheen Scholarship Fund will enhance the students' chances of being able to travel to professional conferences and exhibitions, have hands-on experiences. 

Todd Creeger, the president of ConocoPhilips is a Texas A&M alumni, class 1986 said, “We at ConocoPhillips recognize our responsibility to empower the next generation of engineers and support their education in meaningful ways. As we continue to maintain our proud relationship with the Aggie community, we are deeply honoured to contribute to the development of future graduates in Qatar. Even in these difficult times, we hope to help ensure they continue to have access to a wealth of opportunities that advance their professional growth.”

ConocoPhillips Qatar is one of Texas A&M leading patrons with a long record of generous sponsorships supporting the engineering field and education in Qatar. 

“Since its creation in 2016, the Al Shaheen Scholarship Fund has supported scholarship awards for engineering students at Texas A&M at Qatar. This scholarship fund provides an opportunity for former students and community leaders to contribute directly to young people’s education in Qatar,” said Texas A&M at Qatar dean Dr. César Octavio Malavé.

 

“Every year, we support several students in the form of scholarships or travel support to experience world-class engineering education at Texas A&M at Qatar fully,” He continued, “ConocoPhillips Qatar has been a longtime friend and partner to our campus, especially under the leadership of Creeger, who is an Aggie and a strong supporter of our university. We are grateful to ConocoPhillips Qatar for its generosity and its vision in contributing to our mission of creating engineering leaders in Qatar.”
