Counselling app launched for students from classes 9 to 12

India's Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken the initiative to launch a counselling app, namely 'CBSE Dost For Life' for the psychosocial well-being of students studying from Classes 9 to 12.
The school prinipal of MES Indian School, Hameeda Kadar has been appointed as the counsellor for Qatar region to offer pre-examination psychological counselling to all students, who are appearing for the board exams and their parents at the same time of preparation in addition to the examination to overcome stress caused due to the upcoming exams. 
 
The live counselling sessions which commenced from the 10th of May, are cost-free and conducted three times per week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday by trained counsellors and principals.
 
 
This counselling app will cater to a variety of issues that are faced by the current students who are in high school, including anxiety regarding the soon approaching exams, internet addiction disorder, depression, specific learning disability, exam related traumatic stress disorder and many more.
 
Students and parents can download this application, which is available on Google Play Store. They will be able to opt for any of the two-time slots i.e., 9.30 am to 1.30 pm or 1.30 pm to 5.30 pm and will be connected through a chat box according to their convenience.
 
Along with that, the CBSE has also implemented educative material on social, emotional, and behavioural issues such as anxiety due to exams, internet addiction disorder, depression, specific learning disability, substance use disorder, aggression, and life skills to sensitise students and masses alike and can get more information at cbse.nic.in and even in CBSE YouTube channel.
