The Maritime Customs department has prevented and thwarted the smuggling attempted of prohibited tobacco items into the country.

The prohibited tobacco was hidden secretly in a mango shipment according to the customs department.

The tobacco substance weighed 2878 kg and was immediately thwarted.

The officials in the country have been constantly warning those individuals trying to smuggle illegal substances into the country.

Qatar customs officials are provided with all kinds of support like the enhanced means of systems and continuous training.
