Customs thwarts banned tobacco at Hamad Port

The Maritime Customs Department, in joint efforts with the Public Security Department at the Ministry of Interior, seized an attempt to smuggle a huge amount of banned tobacco through Hamad Port.

In a social media post, customs stated that the banned tobacco packets were found hidden inside flour shipment.

 

The total weight of the confiscated material is 1,350 kilograms.  

The designated authorities have been constantly warning to those attempting to carry illegal substances into the country. Customs officials in the region are offered all means of support that includes enhanced means of systems and continuous training.
