Private health facilities in Qatar were ordered to suspend some non-emergency health services in line with the country's precautionary measures to fight coronavirus (Covid-19).

A circular has been issued by the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) for the temporary suspension of medical services in the following:

  • Dental centers
  • Dermatological and laser clinics
  • Plastic surgery and surgeries (with the exception of emergency cases).
  • Diet and nutrition centers
  • Physiotherapy clinics
  • Complementary medicine (alternative) of all kinds

The Ministry also issued a circular earlier mandating health centers in the private sector to work closely with the MoPH if needed. It also obligated the clinics to raise their level of preparedness to ensure the safety of patients and medical personnel.
