In an effort to review bilateral cooperation between US and Qatar, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs, H E Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah had a meeting yesterday with the Commander of the U.S. Air Forces Central Command, Lieutenant General H E Joseph Guastella.

The chief officials also discussed ways to enhance and develop the ties between the two States. The said meeting was also attended by senior officers of the Armed Forces.

Just recently, Lt. Gen. Joseph Guastella was appointed by the U.S. President Donald Trump to be the new deputy chief of staff for operations at the Pentagon, where he will also serve as commander of the Ninth Air Expeditionary Task Force and combined forces air component commander for U.S. Central Command.
