Doha International Center condemns attack against Muslim family in Ontario

The Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue expressed its strong condemnation of the horrific run-over accident on a Pakistani Muslim family who was on a picnic last Sunday evening in Ontario, Canada, which resulted in the killing of four of its members.
The Center said in press statement today that this act must be called a terrorist act, whether it was motivated by Islamophobia or xenophobia, even if it is from one individual, regardless of his religion or affiliation, terrorism does not belong to any religion or creed, and these criminals only aim to spread hatred and anger among people, adding that such criminal acts only serve the enemies of humanity and extremists.
The Center urged countries that call for tolerance to confront racism and hate speech against minorities in the world, and to confront firmly and forcefully this danger that threatens the world with its severe exacerbation, especially with the increasing waves of migration and asylum in recent decades.
The Center called on the responsible authorities in all countries to play their role entrusted with protecting immigrant or refugee minorities of any gender or color, or adherents of non-main religions in the countries to which they immigrate, and to protect their places of worship, and to take all necessary measures to secure these places, with the need for seriousness and decisiveness in tracking down the perpetrators and bringing them to justice so that they may receive a just punishment.
The Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue concluded its statement by saying that the Center deeply regrets the killing of the members of this innocent family and the victims of this despicable terrorist act, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured, praying God for peace, security and stability to prevail throughout the world.
