Al Shahaniya and Al Shamal failed to achieve victory in the 15th week of the Second Division action while points leaders Al Shahaniya stumbled with a 2-2 draw against Lusail at Al-Shamal Stadium.

In a match played at Suhaim Stadium Bin Hamad, Al Shamal and Muaither shared points in a 1-1 draw, while the only winner in this round was Al-Bidda, who beat Mesaimeer 3-2 after an exciting match.

In the first meeting, Talal Al-Mutairi (24) and Brahima Ajay (66) scored for Al Shahaniya, while Abdul Rahim Al Balushi (40 and 60) scored a double for Lusail.

In the second match, Al Shamal and Muaither played a 1-1 draw.

In the day’s third match, Al Bidda beat Mesaimeer 3-2 at Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium

With the end of the fifteenth week matches, Al Shahaniya top the ranking table with 30 points, followed by Al Shamal (29), Muaither (26), Mesaimeer (19), Al Bidda (19), Al Markhiya (17), Lusail (13) and Al Waab (6)

The Round of 16 matches will be held on Feb 20 when Al Markhiya play Al Shahaniya at Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium, Muaither meet Mesaimeer at Al Shamal Stadium and Lusail play with Al Shamal at Grand Hamad Stadium.

There will be three postponed matches for Al Waab from the 14th, 15th and 16th Rounds which were to bring them together against Mesaimeer, Al Markhiya and Al Bidda respectively. The new dates, timing and match venues will be determined later, QFA said.
