The Ministry of Education and Higher Education is set to hold a press conference on Monday, January 4th, to announce the winners of the 14th Education Excellence Day (EED) Award in all categories. The conference, which will be open for the local media, will take place at the Theatre Hall, Building No. 2 at the Ministry headquarters in Leqtaifiya.

This comes after the EEA juries have completed their arbitration works across the 9 categories of the award. The EED Award ceremony will be held on the first of next March.
Speakers to the conference will include Dr Hamda Hassan al-Sulaiti, EED CEO Award and Secretary General of MOEHE's Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, as well as heads of juries.

The EEA objectives are to: Recognize and honor the outstanding accomplishments of Qatari individuals; enhance individuals and institutions' excellence and performance development; promote positive attitudes toward knowledge and scientific research; foster the spirit of innovation among students, researchers and educational institutions and build capacities in areas that support the country's developmental goals.

Patronized by HH the Amir, the EED Award follows highly competitive standards. It is even held to be the highest academic honor bestowed on the distinguished individuals and educational institutions in the country. This confirms the great attention that our prudent leadership devotes to encouraging and honoring its academically distinguished people. It rather reflects its firm belief that competent human resources are the real wealth of Qatar.
