Environment Minister visits Expo 2023 Doha pavilion at DECC

HE the Minister of Municipality and Environment Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki al-Subaie made a visit to the introductory pavilion of Expo 2023 Doha, which is situated within the ministry's pavilion at the ongoing Qatar International Agricultural Exhibition (AgriteQ) and Qatar International Environmental Exhibition (EnviroteQ) at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC).
HE the Minister was accompanied on a tour of the pavilion by Mohamed Ali al-Khoury, the secretary-general of the Horticultural Expo 2023 Doha and chairman of the exhibition organising committee.
 
During his visit, HE al-Subaie was briefed on the efforts and work implemented to organise the Expo 2023 Doha under the theme *Green Desert, Better Environment from October 2023 until March 28, 2024, hosting 179 days of celebrations during the moderate Qatari winter, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) said in a statement yesterday.
 
 
The statement also mentioned that Expo 2023 Doha will be conducted at Al Bidda Park and is expected to attract over 3 million visitors from more than 80 countries.
 
It will develop the co-operation and exchange of knowledge between the countries, and address fundamental and sensitive issues related to healthy lifestyles, environment-friendly green economy, sustainable lifestyle, as well as education and innovation.
The statement also added that meanwhile, AgriteQ and EnviroteQ continues at the DECC, having great resonance among all employers in the agricultural and environmental industries and attracts people who are fascinated from numerous countries despite being held this year under exceptional circumstances.
