The Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum also invites participants to join in their volunteer programme.

The Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum’s (FBQ Museum) is a unique setting that is home to a marvellous Islamic Art and Heritage collection.

The FBQ Museum collection was developed throughout decades of dedicated and enthusiastic collecting of a diverse and eclectic body of works, spanning from the Jurassic age through to the early Islamic period and up to the present day, across four themes: Islamic Art, Qatar Heritage, Vehicles, and Coins & Currency.

The Museum tells the story not only of the history of the Qatari people, but also of Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani himself. His extensive international travel is represented with eclectic pieces from over 4 continents. This intensely personal collection is a journey through place and time, which Sheikh Faisal welcomes local and international visitors to share.

The FBQ Museum is a valuable resource for scholars, educational institutions and schools, as well as a tourist destination in its own right. The Museum aims to support these endeavours, as well as provide a magical experience for visitors.

In 2010, the museum was selected by the Ministry of Art, Culture and Heritage as one of Qatar's cultural landmarks as part of the 'Qatar Capital of Culture' activities.
