Doha: Doha Marine Sports Club has postponed the fourth edition of Al-Dasha Festival until further notice. This is in line with the precautionary measures taken to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has issued protocols on the suspension of sport activities and events during Qatar National Sports Day. These measures were undertaken to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.

In a statement, the Club said that it was decided to postpone the festival until further notice. 

Over the past three years, Al Dasha festival has been conducted thrice, witnessing a great turnout of contestants, participants and marine sport enthusiasts. 

Based on the directives of the MoPH, the Organising Committee of Al Dasha Festival has decided to postpone it mainly because the festival usually sees the participation of a large number of community members, which would violate the social-distancing protocols that have been reinstated recently.
