Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani on Sunday held a phone call with Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry. During the call, they reviewed bilateral cooperation relations and developments in Palestine.
Before his called to Egypt, Sheikh Mohammed had received a phone call from US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. They also discussed the recent Israeli attacks on worshipers at Temple Mount and the attack on the besieged Gaza Strip.
Sheikh Mohammed stressed the need for urgent action by the international community to stop the repeated and brutal Israeli attacks against civilians in Gaza and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
He reaffirmed the firm position of Qatar supporting the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, including the exercise of their religious rights and the establishment of an independent state on the 1967 borders with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
