HH the Amir chairs Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment meeting through video conference

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment chaired the Council's first meeting in 2021, through video conference platform on Wednesday morning.
HH the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Deputy Chairman of the Council, also attended the meeting along with HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani, Executive Member of the Council, and Their Excellencies members of the Council.
As the meeting progressed, the Council reviewed the developments of 2020's decisions and recommendations, and approved mechanisms to follow up and monitor decisions and projects. The council was also briefed on enhancements that are related to the Investment Promotion Agency, the Free Zones Authority, as well as the further progress made in the energy and investment sectors.
The Council also talked about various issues and topics on the meeting's agenda, and took the appropriate measures regarding them.
