His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received on the evening of January 27, at his office at Al Bahr Palace, HE Chief of Army Staff of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan General Qamar Javed Bajwa and his accompanying delegation, on the occasion of his visit to the country.

The meeting dealt with reviewing bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and Pakistan and the means to enhance them, in addition to discussing the latest regional and international developments.

General Qamar Javed Bajwa is a Pakistani military officer who is the 16th and current Chief of the Army Staff since 29 November 2016. In 2018, he was ranked as the 68th most influential person in the world by Forbes magazine, which called him de facto the most powerful person in Pakistan.
