HMC announces resumption of PCC Ambassadors Program

Hamad Medical Corporations Center has announced the resumption of the Person-Centered Care (PCC) Ambassadors Program and is calling on members of the community to volunteer for the program.
Since its launch, the PCC Ambassadors composed of both Qatari nationals and expatriates of various skills and professions were assigned by CPESE to select HMC facilities to perform tasks such as wayfinding, meet and greet the patients, guiding patients to their appointments, and generally supporting patients and family members during their continuum of care.
To ensure safety of the PCC Ambassadors health, in collaboration with Communicable Disease Center, each one of them has received a complete dose of Covid-19 vaccination prior to being assigned at HMC facilities such as Ambulatory Care Center, Enaya Specialized Care Center, and National Center for Cancer Care and Research. The PCC Ambassadors are equipped and trained on Infection Control, Fire Safety, and Compassionate Human Interactions.
‘The PCC Ambassadors Program primarily cultivates a culture of Person-Centered Care across the organization. It creates a strong bond between patients, family members and staff that culminates to enhancing the overall patient experience in HMC. We owe the success of this program to all the volunteers who have generously devoted their time and efforts for our patients,’ said Deputy Chief of Quality for CPESE and Director of Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute Nasser Al Naimi.
PCC Ambassador Taifa Naeem said, ‘its the sense of fulfilment from making a difference in peoples lives that inspired and made me decide to join the PCC Ambassadors Program.’
