HMC to start telephonic consultations for outpatients from 10 February

In light of the recent increase in COVID-19 cases in Qatar, Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) plans to stop physical attendance at outpatient clinics in HMC hospitals, starting form Wednesday, 10 February. HMC is urging patients to not come to hospitals for appointments. 

Instead, they are encouraging telephonic consultations between physicians and patients. Patients have been requested to not to come into hospital for appointments. The physician will reach out to the patients via telephones on the day of the appointment. 

 

 

According to HMC, if needed, the doctor will arrange a face-to-face appointment and the patient will be informed by the clinic. 

This measure has been undertaken to ensure the safety of patients, and to prevent the spread of the virus.
